I remember making this growing up from a handwritten recipe that my mom kept in a plastic sleeve. It's one of the first recipes I learned to make, and along with her banana bread recipe, the first place I learned to 'sour' milk by adding a little lemon juice or vinegar to the milk. Serve with butter and honey and a glass or milk for a great snack, or serve as a side dish to chili, fried chicken, or just about anything that you'd enjoy a hunk of cornbread with! njoy! -- posted by SrtaMaestra read more »

This rich dipping sauce is what my Mother always served with steamed artichokes. We thought everyone ate them this way! Just the right tang - especially for the artichoke heart. -- posted by SillyWizard read more »

Really simple spread for crackers, (I like crackers with toasted sesame seeds or cracked wheat for this spread) I have no idea where this recipe came from, it is one of Mom's "shoe box" recipes. Be sure to serve cold -- chill about 3-4 hours. -- posted by kittycatmom_42 read more »

This is my mother's original recipe -- she swears she invented this in the early 1960's and the recipe eventually caught on known as "Twice-Baked Potatoes". I believe you, Mom! Over the years she has tried adding many different ingredients, such as bacon, chives, sour cream, etcetera -- but she loves her original recipe best, and so do we. She's a stickler for only time-tested ingredients, such as Kraft Real Mayonnaise "makes them light and fluffy", Vidalia sweet white onion read more »

I'm a chocoholic so it is a big deal when I say that THIS is my favorite cake. It is simple, yummy, makes two small cakes or 1 large and is a little ugly. You do need two eight inch spring form pans or 1 9 inch spring form pan...worth the investment...i make two eight inch cakes. Very moist and keeps for TWO WEEKS in a sealed container just getting better with time. You'll be asked for the recipe. This makes a great gift, housewarming, dessert or great as a snack with coffee. -- posted by L read more »
